Senior Survey and Final Transcripts

Seniors: There are two final tasks that the counseling office requests your assistance with as you wrap up your high school career.  Please complete this senior survey, providing insight into your post-high school plans.  This information is used for school reports and also our school profile.

If you are headed off to college, you need to request your final transcript be sent to the school you are attending.  This is very important because it verifies that you graduated high school.  Please follow these instructions for requesting your final transcript.

Please have this taken care of ASAP but no later than WednesdayMay 15.  If you have questions, please contact your counselor.  Thank you!

Summer School

​Summer school information is now available for students who have failed (or may fail this semester) classes that are required for graduation.  We are pleased to be able to offer this FREE of charge this year.  For specific details and to register a student, please go HERE.  The deadline to sign up is Friday, May 31 at noon.  If you have any questions, please contact your counselor.

PSAT/SAT Score Release

PSAT and SAT scores from the April 10 test administration will start being released on May 2.  Please log into your College Board account (or create one if you don't have one) to view them.  Please read through the newsletter information for each grade linked here for more details: 9th, 10th, 11th

For juniors interested in taking the SAT again, the next national test date is Saturday, June 1 with a registration deadline of May 16.  There will be additional opportunities later in the summer and early fall.

Camp Good Grief

Hospice of Michigan is offering "Camp Good Grief" this summer for youth ages 8-17 who have experienced the death of a loved one. There is no cost to participate but space is limited. Please visit this link for more information.  The deadline to register is May 24.

IChallengeU Summer Program

IChallengeU Summer Program: Current 9th-12th grade students - do you want to be immersed in a local business this summer for two weeks (June 17-27), solve a real-world business challenge, learn about various careers, enhance your resume, have the opportunity to earn scholarship money, and network with kids from other schools? If yes, then sign up for IChallengeU with futurePREP'd!  Meals, snacks, and supplies are provided!  Check out the flyer and promo video.   Register online for the program at https://webapp.oaisd.org/CareerCampEnrollment/.  Representatives from the program will be on our campus during Advisory on Tuesday, May 14 to meet with interested students, explain the program, and answer questions  Please sign up HERE by noon on Monday, May 13.  

Reach for the Pie

Seniors: Fill out the FAFSA and win free pizza for a year!  That's right - all you need to do is complete the recently simplified FAFSA by June 30 and you can enter for a chance to win free pizza for an entire year.  If you have already submitted the FAFSA, you can still participate!  For more information, please visit https://reachforthepie.org/.

NCAA College Bound Athletes Webinar

Do you want to compete in college sports? Join the NCAA Eligibility Center on Wednesday, May 8 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for their webinar for college-bound student-athletes and families. Learn about the latest initial-eligibility news, requirements you must meet to play sports on campus, and the best resources for you as you pursue studying and competing at an NCAA Division I or II school.
